I'm not sure if this is the right place to post/ask but I thought I'd give it a shot.

There has been something that has been bothering me for awhile. It regards my birthday.

I was born on March 3rd, 1987.  Doesn't sound that odd, right?

But if you look at it this way....I was born 03/03. It gets weirder. I was born 03/03 at 12:03 am (or in military time 00:03).

That seems a little TOO odd to be a coincidence.  On top of that, today I discovered that I was originally born on a Tuesday (the third day of the week). Tuesday, I've been told, is also magickally represented by the number 3 as well.

I'm sure if I looked harder I could find the number three linked to me even more strongly.

My question, or request rather:

Would anyone be able to figure out/ interpret why 3 is such a prevelent number for me?  I'm really confused by it...and I feel that it is something really important I must discover...like I'm destined for great things :)

Thanks so much for your help,

There are places known on Earth for defying the laws of gravity and physics, places on Earth where people can go and be instantly healed from deadly diseases, and places where the Native Americans would purposely walk 200 miles out of their way just to stay away from it. There are even places where horses become confused and die of dehydration right next to rivers of water because they can't seem to figure out where the water is, and places where things fall up, taller people become short, and houses lean sideways. These places are known as a vortex, or a place where the laws of physics, time and gravity don't exist.

Einstein had a theory while he was still alive that a vortex was a type of dent in the fabric of time, a dent that swirled inward and brought energies into it instead of away from it. These vortexes are known for capturing many ghosts and spirits, as well as other mystical phenomena that has yet to be explained.

There is believed to be a vortex on the Queen Mary, which is well known for its paranormal activity. Other places with famous vortexes include:

There are also vortexes believed to be in Australia and in India. The cause of a vortex is still unknown, but the strange abilities that people seem to inherit, as well as the healing powers of a vortex, still cannot be explained.

Sometimes auras have a wide variety of colors which could mean various things. Sometimes clear, or crystal, means that you are an intuitive, psychic or highly spiritual person, and indigo is also an indicator of psychic views (that's where the term "indigo child" comes from). Sometimes aura colors can develop with your favorite colors, while some have various meanings. Here are some links to guides on aura colors:

Here is a link to a test you can take to see what colors are in your aura. It's a very thorough test that really hits on a lot of areas:

I dreamt that my uncle gave me something to drink.. it was yellow in colour.. after drinking it I retched and vomited; I woke up and knew this was one of those strange premonitions-

I got up and headed towards the kitchen and stopped in my tracks as I was about to step on.. vomit [apparently the cat wasn't feeling good]..

I also knew that was the first sign that the dream will unfold..
As I reached for a glass and poured some lemonade drink which is yellow, I felt it wasn't about that, but certainly it has something to do with the colour yellow.. and the feeling I got from the dream, it wasn't a good one-

The minuet I opened the door to the porch, I saw what my dream meant..
my yellow cockatiel was laying on the bottom of the cage.. his neck was broken.. I can't understand how that happened.

**This would be the third time that i've dreamt about colours that turned out something similar- and in connection with my birds- [the first dream I had about the colour 'blue', my blue bird died the following morning...the second time it was the colour 'green', then found my green bird dead the next day... and now, my yellow bird. R.I.P. Chipper. You were loved.

~Yesterday I was useing the colours blue, yellow & green... but also red
~Last night I was feeling as if my soul was dying
~This morning [before I saw my bird] I was thinking about 'death & rebirth'
~Today my bird died- Today is my son's birthday

*I feel that I'm going through another episode of 'death & rebirth'... except I haven't experienced the rebirth as yet... only the death.*

I've just recently I acquired a copy of The element Encyclopedia of 5000 SPells comiled by Judika Illes. It has some wonderful ancient knowledge in it. I was looking at some of the protection spells and found a Papyrus symbol. Basically, draw the symbol on parchment and keep it in the home, or area needed to be protected. If greater personal protection is needed have the symbol tattooed. Which lead me to wondering - what is the protocol for tattooing symbols? So far I have my Chinese symbol incorporated into one of my tattoos (the 'sun' on my left arm/shoulder. I'm also a fire sign and it just felt, and still feels, so appropriate) however I'm getting the 'itch' again and have come across a great tattooist through a friend. I have been considering the Papyrus for a wee while now, especially since reading the latest posts about Otherkind and Psi attacks. Reiki helps me to a degree, but is mostly healing, not so much defensive (if that's the right word??).
Cheers in advance :)

There are 7 major chakra points on the body, and up to 9 known chakras in the universal aspects of the body. Sometimes chakras fill with energy and need to be reenergized. Here are some helpful websites on the types of stones used to heal chakras and how to heal them:

Astral Projection can be a very comforting experience. Of course it's different for every one. I have been using Astral Projection for mainly two reasons (at this moment). Mostly to help me with my meditations and try my best to see information about past lives. Or to help some of my friends.

When I do the Astral Projection. I like to meditate for a bout fifteen minuets. Put on some really relaxing music and try my best to dissolve into the darkness in my mind. Normally I find my self in an open filed with flowers. I have learned to home in a lot of my energy into my Chakra Stones (which I'm still learning to use). I find Amethyst and Rose Quartz the best to use (or at lest for me and my energies). It's different for every one of course.

I have managed to put together a Tarot Spell that works well with me using the Astral Projection. I created it with the help of another spell though and branched off from that. For the spell to work. I use the Tarot cards I need a long with the Chakra Stones. I all so decided to use my Amethyst ring, which has been charged with soothing energy.
I then use the Astral Projection. I normally Astral Project for about seven minuets. It really depends on how long I meditate. Sometimes my body needs the meditation more then the Astral Projection it self.

Sometimes when I do the Astral Projection. I kind of get clammy. However, I'm starting to get more stronger doing it. I've only now been trying to re-learn how to do these things.
At one point I was much more stronger then I am now.

But growing up I all ways herd 'you can't do those things'. However, I've now of course realized that you really have to do what fits you and no one else.

Psi or Psychic Blocks, are unconscious or consciously made shields that keep other empaths, psychics, or general people from penetrating the mind of the person making the shield. It is an old sorcerer's spell that has been used for many years, and if used correctly, psychic blocks can help an empath to be able not to carry on so many feelings of others, or it can help someone who uses mental telepathy so that anyone they are conversing with can't try to intrude in their thoughts while speaking telepathically.

It is also used in self defense, such as the Psychomancer website says: PSYCHIC BLOCK (4) - this spell raises a shield to help reduce some of the impact caused from a psychic blast and other Psychomancer-related attack spells. (http://www.edenwaith.com/products/psychomancer/tutorial/spells.html)

However, some psychic blocks can be used to prevent someone from properly reading another person, which can in turn be dangerous.

There are of course many different elements to use in the magic. I have been working with Water and Air Magic for many years. I feel deeply connected to these elements and they are apart of my astrology sign (I am an Aquarius/Pisces cups). This of course doesn't mean that you can not work with other elements. I guess I'm just one of those people who believes in the saying; 'Slow and steady wins the race.'
I have just now only recently started to work with Earth magic. However, I will all ways feel more partial tot my first two elements.

Other elements aside from these four can all so include wood and metal. Which are all so very powerful in spells, meditation, and other things. For me however, another force I find helpful is the acknowledgment of you're soul. It can be a very helpful view on you're magic.

When I first started learning about Paganism and WIcca. I loved to read about creatures and spirits. I will post up a few links you may find interesting to look at.

Today's herb: Sage

Often used to flavor food or as a medicinal herb, Sage has been used for centuries as a magical herb in cleansing and smudging rituals, in order to cleanse a house or person from negative energies. White sage is used for smudging, usually coming in leaf form, but it can also be ground down into a powder. Sage is usually burned for cleansing rituals and is one of the most commonly found herbs in magic.

Sage is also used as a definition for a mystic, or a person who practices healing rituals.

Having a tarot deck can bring a lot of joy into you're life. As jupiters_galaxy said. You should choose you're deck carefully. Don't be surprised if it takes you a while to choose a deck because a lot of energy can be thrown at you. I just recently bought a new deck after something years. It took me maybe half an hour to pick the deck I knew would really match my energies well. I purchased The Faairytale Tarot by Karen Mahony. Tarot decks are a very good start for many Pagans and Wiccans a like. There are so many to pick from because Tarot decks have their own personality.

This new deck I got works well with dreams and story telling. I use it a lot of for creative methods. Even to help me out with my creative writing.

When I fist started reading the tarot. I started off with reading a card a day. Just so that I could get used to the energy and to memorize the meaning of the card, and what it looks like. This was when I was maybe seventeen. Back then I was using Brian Froud's Fairy Oracle. Another very strong deck.

I have since then moved onto other spreads and have become a fairly strong Tarot reader. I have learned that my Fairytale tarot deck can do many things besides working with dreams and story telling. I was able to do a reading for a friend of mine and the cards were more then happy to do that. I have all so tried other spreads to use with this deck.

Not every deck is like this. Some may just want to work with you. While others may want to help others. I got very lucky with this decks because the energies are so strong and work well with me.

With you're tarot deck. You need to put it in either a safe pouch or a box. Try to keep it away from other people. Especially those with negative energy. Or who do not believe in the Tarot because unwanted energy can be placed in it.

You can do other things with the Tarot by using other divination tools. I am now learning how to use my Tarot deck with my Chakra Stones. It's very important to learn how to balance both spiritual tools before you put them together. Or else it can become overwhelming for a beginner.

You can all so use Runes with you're Tarot deck. However, I have not yet learned how to do that. However, I do plain on doing so in the future.

There are many wonderful web sites to look at and I thought that I would show you a few for a start.

For Wiccans or Pagans who are just starting out, some helpful herbs and tools can make good use for you, such as:

Sage: An herb that is easy to find and not very pricy, sage has been used for thousands of years to cleanse and purify just about anything.

Witch Hazel: Often used by Wiccans and Pagans in protection or other rituals, witch hazel is designed for a number of tasks, including purification and cleansing.

Witch's Wand: Wands range from small to large, big to thin, and can be as decorated as you want it to be. Wands are used to cast a circle around the area that you are going to perform rituals in, and is used for protective purposes.

Clear Crystal Quartz: Often this kind of quartz is used to cleanse and purify, as well as repel negative attacks. Crystal quartz can also be used to purify a Tarot deck or other items that have built up energy over time.

Candles: Many spells have some kind of use for candles. A variety of colors will be helpful depending on which spell you are trying to achieve.

Tarot Deck: Wiccans and Pagans use Tarot decks not only to help them in day to day life, but to help others as well. Tarot decks should be chosen carefully and you should make sure that your energy and the energy of the Tarot coincide together. It is beneficial to keep your Tarot deck in a box (wooden or otherwise strong) so that negative energy won't get into it.
